For sale is a 1971 Dodge Dart Drag Car located in our Indianapolis showroom. This 1971 Dodge Dart is powered by its built 472 CID V8 engine, backed by a 727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a Dana 60 rear end with 4.10 gears with only 10 1/4 mile passes on the build. The engine build started with a 440 CID block bored .60 over to a 472 CID monster that is putting out some serious torque and horsepower. The crank is a 3.92 stroke connected to 7.5 Brooks Aluminum rods and Venolia Flat Top Pistons measuring a 4.38 bore at 12 to 1 compression. It is also equipped with a Comp Cam and lifters with a .681 lift, .282 duration that have a great lope and is strip ready. The 452 heads were milled and ported with a 75cc chamber and outfitted with K1000H springs and titanium retainers. Sitting on top is a high rise Aluminum Intake that was ported to match the heads with a Demon Carburetor that feeds this awesome Mopar. The exhaust fumes exit through a set of Hooker headers that dump out to a dual 2 1/2 inch exhaust system that puts out a sweet deep tone. The 727 Torqueflite transmission was also rebuilt with a deep transmission pan and shatter blanket and is topped with a Cheetah SCS Shifter. Out back is a Dana 60 rear end with 4.10 gears and a set of Strange 35 spline axles built for the strip. Other features on the this Mopar include: Aluminum Radiator with Electric Fan, Stainless Steel Fuel Cell with Electric Fuel Pump, Double Batteries, Rear Cutoff Switch, Wilwood Disc Brakes, Tied Frame, Full Roll Cage, Mini Tub, Fiberglass Hood, and Racing Seats.
