For sale is a 1959 Chevrolet Impala located in our Indianapolis Showroom. In 1959, Chevrolet once again radically redesigned the body style of the Impala. The 1959 Impala roofline was a full three inches lower and the body was two inches wider. The most stunning feature of the new '59 Impala had to be the protruding tail fins which now housed a pair of very large single "teardrop" taillights. Some refer to these taillights as "cat eyes." The headlights of the Impala were a full seven inches lower than the previous year. The "teardrop" design was also featured on the hood vents of the '59. The trunk area of the '59 Impala was one of Chevrolets largest measuring 32 cubic feet which gives you plenty of room to pack in the cooler and chairs.
This 1959 Chevrolet Impala is powered by it rebuilt 454 CID V8 engine and is backed by a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission with 8,000 miles since rebuild. The 454 CID V8 is a 1973 big block that was rebuilt with a Weiand aluminum intake and a Holley 750 cfm 4-barrel carburetor sitting on top. Options on this 1959 Chevrolet Impala for sale include: AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Power Steering, Front seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and Radial Tires. This '59 Impala was completed in 1990 and was on the cover of "Super Chevy" magazine in December of 1990. Some of the customizations include shaved door handles, frenched-in powered antenna, tube grill, dummy spotlights, and a 180 louvers punched into the hood. The Impala was then painted in a Candy Brandywine color over a gold base coat and looks absolutely stunning in the sunlight. The interior was custom made in a two-tone grey and Brandywine cloth that is also carried into the trunk for a finished show look. Some recent upgrades include a new radiator, new brake system (front discs, rear drums, and new brake lines), new Borgeson power steering unit, new carpeting, and new 18" Ridler wheels and Nitto tires. This 1959 Impala is the definition of cool and will sure to bring its new owner years of fun going on cruises or hitting up the local car show scene.
