For sale is a 1964 Dodge Polara 500 located in our Indianapolis Showroom. The Dodge Polara was introduced for the 1960 model year as Dodge's top of the line full-size car. After the introduction of the Dodge Custom 880 in 1962, the Polara was moved a step below the full sized best trimmed Dodge model and downsized to their intermediate status. In its various forms, the Polara name was used by Dodge until 1973, when its position was replaced by the Dodge Monaco. The 1964 Polara models received a revised front end and new tail lights to distinguish them from the 1963 model as well as a new rear design which features six small, square-shaped taillights (three on each side) surrounded by an attractive bright trim panel.

This 1964 Dodge Polara 500 is powered by its rebuilt 440 CID V8 Six Pack engine, backed by a 727 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a 8 3/4" rear end with an Auburn Posi unit with 3.55 gears. The 440 engine is a 1969 440 Six Pack engine and was professionally rebuilt back to stock specifications. The Six Pack carburetor setup was also professionally rebuilt and some extra upgrades under the hood were also added including an aluminum radiator with electric fan, billet accessory brackets .
