This great looking Mercury went through a total restoration 11 years ago but still looks great with only 4315 miles since completion. This car still retains all of its original metal and is painted in a gorgeous two tone blue and Mercedes cream base coat/clear coat paint. The interior color is also matched to the exterior paint scheme with the seats covered in vinyl. The fronts seats are powered seats out of a late model Thunderbird and very comfortable, which are great for going on a long cruise. The engine is a GM 350 CID V8 Ram Jet crate engine connected to a TH350 three speed automatic transmission with 2.79 gears in the rear end. Some of the nice customizations to the exterior include 1953 Desoto front and rear bumpers, "frenched" headlights and taillights, 3 1/2 inch chopped top, Buick side trim, and a 1953 Chevrolet grill. This classic Mercury has also been updated with Stainless Steel Exhaust, Stainless Steel Fuel and Brake lines, Stainless Steel Gas Tank, "Vintage Air" Air Conditioning, Serpentine Belt Drive System, and a recent "Fatman" Rack and Pinion front end.
