The only items that have been replaced are: tires, exhaust, headliner, battery, front springs, fuel pump, steering wheel and fluids. This 390 cubic inch factory manual 4-speed with Go-Pack is stunning in Big Bad Green with tan leather interior and Black racing stripes. AMC only produced 284 Big Bad Green AMXs in 1969 making this classic very rare and highly collectible. AMC introduced the steel bodied 2-seater in 1968 in an effort to bring younger buyers to the dealerships. The high performance AMX (American Motors Experimental) offered a shorter wheelbase and a much lower sticker price than the Corvette. The 6.4L 390 cubic inch V8 was built for speed with a forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods, along with larger rod bearings. A BorgWarner T-10 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter, traction bars and dual exhaust were all standard equipment. With performance options like the "Go-Package" sales soared and the AMX excelled on the track at the local and national level. This '69 AMX is optioned with the Go-Package which included: power assisted front disc brakes, heavy-duty suspension with upgraded sway bars, "Twin Grip" differential, Magnum 500 wheels and improved cooling. These iconic muscle cars are very hard to come by and unheard of in original survivor condition. This AMX has it all...low actual miles, original paint and performance options.
