Vinyl InteriorFor sale is a 1968 Ford Torino GT Convertible located in our Indianapolis Showroom. In 1968 the Ford Torino was introduced and was to eventually replace the Fairlane. The new Torino offered lots of comfort and plenty of power with a wide variety of engine options. The Ford Fairlane Torino was the top trim level for 1968 and included all the Fairlane 500 trim options plus lower body side moldings, special emblems and trim inside and out. The Fairlane Torino GT was a sport version of the Fairlane 500 series and included all the 500 trim, bucket seats and a console, special name plaques, GT markings on wheel covers, courtesy lights on the inside door panels, and came standard the a 302 CID V8. This '68 Torino GT Convertible originally came with the 302 CID V8, but is now packing a 390 CID V8 and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. The body is painted in an attention grabbing bright red color with the "C" stripe package on both the sides and is accented nicely with a white power convertible top. The interior is done in white vinyl with bucket seats up front and a center console housing a Hurst shifter. Options on this 1968 Ford Torino GT Convertible include: AM Radio (not working), Power Convertible Top, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Hub Caps, and Radial Tires. Within the past two years the front suspension was rebuilt, rear main seals replaced, new fuse block and partial rewire.
