This 1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10 Truck is powered by a 396 CID V8 engine, and is backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a Posi -Trac rear end with 3.55 gears. The body is a short bed 1971 Cheyenne C10 that sits on a 1987 C10 chassis giving it a stronger and better ride than the original. A few other customizations include a 1967 C10 front grill and an all steel 2 inch cowl hood. The gas tank was also customized to fit under the bed of the truck and between the frame rails with a custom access fuel filler door sitting flush in the truck bed. The 396 CID big block engine has been rebuilt with a hi-lift cam that idles nicely with good lope to it. Sitting on top is an aluminum high rise intake and a Holley 650 CFM double pumper carburetor and exhaust exits out through a set of Stainless Hedman Headers. The TH350 automatic transmission was also rebuilt with a shift kit installed which gives you precise shifting and added life to the transmission. In the front, the truck is sitting on 2.5 inch drop spindles and dropped blocks in the rear giving it that mean hot rod stance. The wheels are painted red Corvette 15 inch Rally Wheels with baby moon hub caps and stainless steel beauty rings. The white wall tires are new from Coker Tire and measure 285/70/r15 in the rear and 235/70/r15 in the front. To finish off the classic hot rod look, the body was painted in a sinister flat black paint with custom hand painted pin striping on the hood, tailgate, and glove box door. The interior was not forgotten on this build and is finished nicely with new black carpet, new black cloth interior and headliner.
