This 1988 Dodge W 100 4X4 is for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. The Dodge W100 was the Chrysler corporation’s full-size pickup also known as the RAM. The W designates 4WD and the 100 designates ½ ton. This example is far from what the stock truck was with everything from engine to lift this is one decked out Dodge. The engine is a fresh 318 with that has been literally built from the block up. A comp cam with a .454 lift gives this small block a nice lumpy idle. The heads were purchased from Indy heads with a 3 angle grind stainless steel valves, double valve springs and a 70CC open chamber design. With all new lifters, rockers, and push rods. The high-rise Weiland intake with the Holley 600 CFM carb sitting on top is the perfect complement to this set feeding just the right amount of fuel. Transferring the power is a rebuilt 727 that shifts out nicely with no hesitation. The rear diff is a rebuilt 9 ¼ 12 bolt Chrysler with posi trac. The front is a Dana 44 with the transfer case being rebuilt when the motor was the whole setup has 12000 miles. Getting this RAM up in the air is a rough Country 4-inch suspension lift with brand new leaf’s. The upper and lower ball joints, outer tie rods and a new drag link are all from MOOG. The front axles were rebuilt along with all new inner and outer bearings and a brand-new set of Warner lock outs. The body of the truck is the best one I have seen with the bed being sourced from a salvage yard in Oregon. Both the fenders and bumpers were sourced new while the doors were saved, and with the cab, brought down to bare metal. The frame was painted with rust sealer from Performance Refinish ensuring its integrity for years to come. The Chromebase Black Cherry from Dupont was applied with the clearcoat giving it not only a consistent shine but an added layer of protection. Jump up in the cab and you will notice a seat that is a lot more comfortable than the original. The leather is soft and compliments the rest of the truck nicely.
