The Chevrolet Camaro has a long history with the Indy 500, being used on nine separate occasions as the official pace car to this day ( and 6 times prior to this 2011 model). This drop top Chevy is dressed in “Summit White, with a black power convertible top, orange livery and Pace Car graphics and its interesting to note that this color scheme is the same one use don the 1969 Camaro Pace Car. This is a one owner vehicle with extremely low miles and is labeled as #1 of 50. Sporting just under 3000 low miles showing on the odometer and an average speed of less than 40 MPH this car has been babied throughout its short run on the road. This vehicle was a giveaway car for the Indy 500 and has been used in multiple parades and as a promotional vehicle for the Indy 500 raceway. This 2011 Camaro is powered by a 6.2L V8 engine that delivers a healthy 426 HP mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that is also manually shiftable via paddles on the steering wheel. Standard Brembo brakes and 20-inch polished wheels and performance suspension were all standard on these vehicles, giving this Camaro an nice and tight overall driving experience. The interior of this pace car is trimmed in orange leather and the front seats and headrests are embossed with the Indy 500 logo. Even though this car is classically styled after the 1969 Camaro pace car it features all modern creature comforts including, air conditioning, cruise control, heated front seats, heads up display and all power options.
