For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1974 Bricklin. The Bricklin was assembled in New Brunswick Canada for a year in a half in 1974 and 1975. The Car was designed for the American market that was hungry for new ideas and styling in the middle seventies by Herb Grasse. Malcolm Bricklin the American Millionaire who founded Subaru of America was the driving force and of course the namesake. The futuristic styling and forward thinking of this car caught on however the company just could not make cars fast enough to be successful. So during the entire year and a half they built less than 3,000 cars total. This Bricklin for sale having been built in 1974 boast the AMC 360 as the power plant and is backed currently by a GM 700R4 four speed automatic transmission giving this wind cheating SV-1 for sale the gears to pull away from stoplight and still cruise at highways speeds at low engine revolutions. This 360 cubic inch engine has recently spent time at a machine shop where the engine was given the treatment and just about everything cleaned up and wear and tear items replaced. It was not Bored as the owner did not want the engine life diminished. New hardened valve seats( for unleaded fuel ) was added as well as roller rockers a double row timing set was added for durability and strength. This was then topped off with a Eldebrock® Air gap® intake manifold and carburetor and H.E.I. ignition for a hotter spark and constant performance verses the old points style that started to wear as soon as the user started the engine. The list of upgrades the current owner has made to this car is vast and each one well thought out .The air conditioning has been converted to R134a, LED turn and brake light, Lizard skin in the engine compartment to reduce heat and quiet the ride. Wilwood® front brake kit with four piston calipers and drilled and slotted rotors. Edelbrock® shorty headers, KYB shocks and so much more.
