1974 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am

For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1974 Pontiac Trans Am. This 1974 Trans Am for sale is covered in a color I call “arrest me red”. This shade of red is anything but subtle, it screams, “look at me” and when you do you will notice something odd about this 1974 TA for sale. The front bumper has been replaced with the front end of a 1973 Trans Am giving this car what I believe is a much better look. So you may ask yourself, go ahead, why put a 1973 front end on a 1974 Trans Am? Well the story behind this car is that Dad told his daughter, you and I will build any car you like just as long as you do your best in school. So she wanted a 1973, they found a 1974 and made it look like a ’73 and that’s just the beginning. This car was well thought out and put together and the end result is a great driving car that is a notch or two better than it was when it was new. Let’s start under the hood because, well, why not? Under the hood is the legendary Pontiac® 455 V8, this one was removed and taken to Grimes Automotive machine shop where it was cleaned, machined and improved upon, ( I couldn’t find another word to rhyme ) Of course then painted blue. Backing this torque monster is none other than the turbo 400 3 speed automatic transmission This one has a fresh rebuild on it just 400 miles ago. Dividing up the power is the job of the 10 bolt that houses a set of 3:23 gears with a posi traction unit this insures that when you step on the loud pedal you put down two equally impressive black marks. Now for the interior, clean, tidy, correct and looking almost new. The seats are firm vinyl is soft and everything is black. Now remember this car was built for a young lady to drive to high school and college so you know it was never driven hard, except this same young lady helped choose all these parts and put it together so..who knows? What I do know is this car is the total package, sharp looks, big engine and comfortable interior, what more could you want?
