The second-generation S-10 was built by Chevrolet from 1994 through 2004 and was designed to compete with the Ford Ranger. With its robust body on frame design with rear leaf springs these trucks were designed to handle all the loads and abuse you could throw at it! In 2001 Chevrolet introduced a crew cab model that was only available with the shorter 4 ½ foot bed. As buyers of the crew cabs demanded less utility out of their trucks Chevrolet never built the S-10 in a crew cab long bed configuration. That void has been filled by this one off custom fabricated 2002 S10. This is the one that satisfies the need for both comfort AND utility with the full crew cab combined with the full size 72-inch bed. This truck sits atop a crew cab frame that has been extended approximately 40 inches but looking underneath this truck you’d never know it was altered. The frame rails are straight and solid with hardly a sign of custom work. Everything from the drive shaft to the suspension looks factory and is clean as a whistle! The long 6-foot bed is topped with a color matching weather proof camper with fully tinted windows. For extra heavy loads this truck is fitted with air shocks in the back. With SS badging, an aggressive hood with black stripes and some mean looking mag wheels this S-10 is a real looker! Options include AC, AM/FM radio, CD player, spare tire, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, tilt wheel, power mirrors, seat belts, airbags, cloth interior, and radial tires on mag wheels.
