Vinyl InteriorFor sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1967 Mercury Cougar. In 1967 Ford let its Mercury division have its own pony car. The Cougar solidified its spot as Mercury’s performance and handling icon in a legacy that would last until 1997. With a range of power plants and trim options the Cougar found itself located between the Ford flagship Thunderbird and Mustang in respect to options and affordability. Our example of this cat is equipped with a stout 351CID that has been massaged over to put out some serious horsepower. Forged pistons, ARP rod bolts, Crane cam, Port and polished 202/160 heads fitted with roller rockers. On top of all these fine ingredients sits an Edlebrock Torker 2 intake manifold with a healthy 750cfm BG carb. Going down the line the 3spd auto has been outfitted with a high performance shift kit and 3000 RPM stall converter to make sure all of those ponies are reigned in. At the end of this high power journey is the iconic Ford 9†rear with traction lock. With all of these high performance pieces under the hood and attention grabbing metallic green paint job you’re sure to be the envy of everyone at the local Cougar club. Inside the interior has been left predominately stock including the black vinyl seats, the only visual tip that things are not what they seem on this beast is the quick shifter in the center.
