The 1970 Dart's dual tail lamps were given over to the badge-engineered Plymouth Valiant Scamp, while the 1971 Dart received new smaller quad tail lamps that would be used through 1973. The Custom 2-door hardtop coupe became the Swinger, and the standard Swinger became the Swinger Special. The drive train consists of a 300 HP 360 Magnum crate engine from Mopar Performance and has 1500 miles since new and a 904 automatic transmission that was rebuilt with performance components including a street performance torque converter 1500 miles ago. The rear end has an Eaton truetrac clutchless differential and 3.23 gears on a 489 8 3/4 carrier all with less than 250 miles since new. With so much power it is stopped by the 4-wheel disc brake with aluminum wheels wrapped in radial tires. It was repainted in 2008 to white and still has the original vinyl top. The interior is the original black vinyl. The mileage on the odometer is correct as the car spent approximately 30 years in a private collector's showroom. Anyone can tell that the upholstery is original and perfect. The new AC was done in 2018 with a relay box. Vertical seat belts help go with the time period.
