The 1955 Shay Thunderbird is the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition, factory built in 1981. There were 200 of these “built to order†beauties every made. Currently there are less than 125 of these reproduction T-Birds know to exist. This beautiful Shay Thunderbird has a reproduction 1955 Stainless steel grill. It also features a real 1955 Thunderbird windshield frame. The power plant is the stock 2.3 Liter Ford Pinto Lima engine along with the German built Ford 4 speed manual transmission and has plenty of power to move this 2300 lb. car down the road with ease. The stock rear axle was replaced with a 76 Mustang II Cobra rear end with 3:80 gears. It has all new brakes, front and rear, new shocks, new wheel bearings and ball joints. It has new stainless steel headers with new 2 ¼ inch Flow master exhaust. The exterior is 1955 Ford Blue and the interior is black and white with an updated Teak Veneer including a matching Grant 404 Steering wheel. It has new gauges and new horns. This car features 4 new Coker whitewall tires. It also has a new Holley Carb. It also has both a hard top and soft top. With only 12k miles this one is ready for miles and miles of fun
