The SS was made by SLP by taking a Z28 and adding a T56 6-speed manual transmission bolted up to the LT block in place of the 5 speed that came with the Z28. The LT4 was the fastest factory-built Camaro available, as well as the most expensive. New 5-spoke 16-inch wheels became standard on the Z28 this year (17" ZR1 style on SS coupe models). This car also features T-tops for when the weather permits, and you want to have some outside air run through your hair while speeding down the road in this performance-oriented beast.
