Under the hood of this resto-mod sit a Ford Racing 302 roller short block with Edelbrock Performer heads, B cam, Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS carburetor, and more! Shifting this beauty is a built AOD Automatic Overdrive transmission with 3,500 stall converter, B&M shifter, and ending out back with a Ford 9 inch rear end with 4.11 gears. The final stop for all that power is a set of Ford Bullit wheels with Falken radial tires. A Power Master front disk brake upgrade with drilled and slotted rotors provide the stopping power for this custom cruiser. The custom upholstered front bucket seats are out of an 80's Buick and the driver seat is 4 way power. The original rear seat is also upholstered to match with Galaxie 500 stitching to really set off this custom interior. The carpet and floor mats are new along with an AM/FM/CD player. The door panels and headliner are original and show well. The dash has a nice cover to hide any imperfections in the original dash. Between the bucket seats sits a custom made center console for the floor shifter and modern CD player. All of the chrome and bright work is present and in good shape for showing. The restoration on this vehicle was performed 8 years ago and in the process the entire underside was covered in POR 15 to prevent any rust, as this car is driven! This Galaxie has shown the quality of the build by completing the Power Tour in 2006 after the restoration. Options include AM/FM/CD player, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, cloth interior, aluminum alloy wheels, and radial tires. This was an original “C” code Galaxie, so it was a V8 from the factory. It was also an AC car from the factory. The firewall lines and under dash parts are all present, so adding a condenser and compressor would make this car once again AC equipped.
