1961 Chrysler Imperial

For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1961 Imperial. Often referred to as the "Chrysler Imperial", the Imperial had no "Chrysler" markings and were a separate, distinct marque. The is the epitome of luxury and style. Drenched in chrome and over the top elegant lines it is easily recognized by its beautiful fins. This Imperial has been owned by a mechanic with over 60 years experience, the mind of an engineer and the heart of a true blue classic car lover. In the years he owned the car he did a long list of upgrades and repairs to make this one of the most trusted road worthy early '60's classic cars seen on the road today. It has all the right equipment most of us would like to see on a classic car but usually can't. These features include factory Air Conditioning, double "hi-low" Horns, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows and Power Seats. The Imperials where the Flagship of Chrysler but not branded as Chrysler. It had all of the latest and greatest technology offered at the time. This car is in remarkable condition as it was restored about 10 years ago by the family who owned the car since new. It was in very nice condition when the current owner received it, then completely gone through again. The car has recently completed an 8,500 mile journey from Florida through Mississippi (where it won a first place trophy at a car show there) then up to Route 66, crossing the Rocky Mountains through the Yosemite pass at 10,000 feet and then on to Sacramento, CA. Then back to sea level along the Pacific Coast Highway on up to Oregon along Route 2 and then near the Canadian border, through Montana, Wyoming, Mount Rushmore, then all the way back to Florida.
