The first-generation Thunderbirds were some of the most iconic automobiles ever created by Ford and came onto the scene in 1955 in direct response to the Chevrolet Corvette and many European sports cars of the time. The original concept looked a bit foreign and the actual production model proved to be more American and luxurious. This fine example is just jaw-dropping and features a stunning shade of White with matching black and white interior, white porthole hardtop and white soft top making this car really stand out in the crowd. Powering up this beauty is what is believed to be the original V8 Engine mated to the 2-Speed Ford-O-Matic transmission which was very similar to the Powerglide of the time. This car has some great options including a hood scoop, fender skirts, both tops, power windows and Air Conditioning as well as the super cool town and Country radio. Driving this car with the top down/off is like taking a trip down memory lane. Most old cars from the '50's and '60's can be cumbersome and difficult to drive but not this beauty.
