Originally a British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph Motors were also recognized as one of the most desirable sports cars and the TR6 was the most successful and legendary of Triumphs automotive creations. The TR6 ran from 1969 profitably through 1976 as it sold nearly 95,000 of those 86,249 were exported. These TR6’s were built during the British Leyland Motor era therefore being cut from the fabric that made up the British conglomerates manufacturing Jaguars and MG. Ultimately, this merger created the most desirable and collectable Triumph to date, the TR6! This TR6 includes the very reliable and often favored American made, carbureted 2.5L straight-6, which is delivering a jaunty 140 hp via a 4 speed manual synchromesh transmission. Undeniably the TR6 has some of the strongest and longest legs as the gearing is tight and aggressive reporting speeds over 100 miles per hour! Options included in this 1971 TR6 are a wooden veneered dash, rear anti-roll bar and limited slip differential. Interior options include: Kenwood Excelon AM/FM/CD/USB in dash unit with a booming Bazooka sub-woofer, seat belts and vinyl bucket seats.
