Equipped with a 400 CID V8 Ram Air III engine and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, it has more than enough power to get up and go, as the Ram Air III engines were rated at 335 horsepower in 1969; and the Turbo 350 transmissions allows for smooth, speedy, and seamless gear changes with ease. Even though it's nearly 50 years old, you would never know it when sitting behind the wheel of this beast. The cabin of the vehicle is welcoming and feels like that of a much newer vehicle, while still having a retro feel. It also has, power brakes as well as power steering, radial tires, and Cragar Chrome 5 spoke wheels that all work in perfect unison with the beautiful custom black and yellow interior and eye-catching Yellow paint job with black stripes. The 1969 model year saw a lot of changes for the Firebird, as it received a major facelift. It received a new front end design, but unlike the GTO, it did not receive the Endura bumper. Additionally, the instrument panel and steering wheel were revised, mainly due to the introduction of GM’s new locking ignition switch on the steering column.
