Faircloth, Glassic Industries earned a reputation for its exquisite replica car program that saw production of approximately 1600 fiberglass-bodied replicas of 1931 Model A Fords from 1966 to 1981. Located in West Palm Beach, Florida the Glassic Company were one of the first enterprises to spearhead an effort to manufacture vehicles of a time gone past, but not forgotten. Many of the cars were Phaeton body style, but some were roadsters as seen here in this beautiful example! While often confused with Shay replicas, Glassic replicars are unique in that they were physically modified to be more practical for driving. While this car replicates a 1931 Ford Model A, car enthusiasts will be quick to point out inconsistencies with this car and the real McCoy. This was not Glassic’s intent as their goal was to capture the timeless design while providing a driver-friendly platform. One can take note of the wider doors and greater seating room compared to an authentic 1931 Model A. This Glassic wears lovely purple paint and is paired with a manual black top that can be put down when you want to cruise on a nice day. Open the doors to reveal a black interior with gray seats and an AM/FM Radio with CD player! Don’t forget about that third seat behind you as this roadster has a rumble seat! Powering this 1974 Glassic is a 302 CID V8 engine that in linked to a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts beautifully!
