Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1972 Chevrolet C10. The 1967-1972 Chevrolet C/K series of trucks was the beginning of a revolutionary way to look at trucks. GM’s pickup lineup was redesigned with rounded corners as well as a smoother transition from one panel to the next. Back in the day these trucks were an instant success with the public and to this day they are sought after by collectors. This 1972 Chevrolet C10 Step-side short-bed pickup is powered by a fuel injected 7TH gen LT1 out of a ’95 Impala backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission. The powerplant has been upgraded with a new Trickflow top-end kit, BBK Power-Plus Twin 52MM throttle body and wrapped long tube headers breathing through a set of Flowmaster Super 10 mufflers. This C10 is finished in Burnt orange over black interior. This truck has gotten rid of most of it chrome in favor of a blacked-out grille, wheels, and front and rear bumpers. The bench seat has been reupholstered in black vinyl and cloth, which carries on to the door panels and headliner. Features include a body-color steel dashboard and inner door shells, an automatic-shift steering column topped with a 4-spoke steering wheel. Behind the steering wheel sits a 100-mph speedometer and a gauge for fuel level. Auxiliary gauges mounted above the dash include coolant temperature, battery voltage, and oil pressure. This truck is the ideal foundation to take to the next level, or simply enjoy it as it is!
