Debuting in 1970 and deriving its name from the famous city, Monte Carlo, nobody knew it would lead to six generations spanning nearly 40 years! The Monte Carlo was developed to fill a new roll for the Chevrolet brand. It was marketed as the first ever personal luxury car by Chevrolet. Here we have a 1988 Model, the last year for the fourth generation. The fourth gen Monte Carlos were known as the G-body Monte Carlo and are to this day one of the most sought-after generations. The final year for the G-body would see less than half the production of the previous year let alone the SS production. In '87 there was nearly 40k SS models made, but just over 16k in '88. Powering this Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS is a Fuel Injected General Motors 305CID V8, with snappy throttle response and a nice smooth V8 sound this SS for sale has a unhumble rumble to give you memories of glory. This Monte Carlo was purchased new from Daniels Chevrolet in Colorado Springs and has remained with the original owner until now. The car is finished in white and features red pinstriping and SS decals. Exterior details include sport mirrors, SS-specific front and rear fascia, black trim, a rear lip spoiler, and a fixed antenna. The cabin features front bucket seats with a rear bench upholstered in silver cloth with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. The leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k tachometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows just over 62k Carfax reported miles. Start up the ignition and the small block Chevy rumbles to life.
