The recently installed (07/2018) "Gordon's Engines Street Performance" 454CID V8 crate engine that is an early 2 piece rear main block bored .30 over & fitted with Keith Black "Hypereutectic" flat-top pistons, a Comp 297 Thumper Hydraulic Cam, GM 279 Vortec heads, a Performer RPM aluminum intake and an electric choke QuickFuel 750cfm carb, putting this fresh 454 with a low-rated 465hp and roughly 500 miles on it. The engine bay looks factory fresh with the orange block and plenty of shine from the valve covers, alternator, aluminum radiator, etc. And while this Chevelle was made to eat the streets, it's also easy to manage with the 2800 stall TH400 automatic transmission (rebuilt in 2018), power steering, factory power front disc brakes, and wide Cooper Cobra radial G/Ts.
