Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this over the top 1960 Chevrolet Impala Lowrider. The most popular and most well known lowrider vehicle of all time has always been the Chevy Impala! The Impala model has gone through an astounding 10 generations of cars, and for decades it set the standard in comfort and value and was even considered to accelerate the American muscle car craze in the late 50's/early 60's. The 1000's of hours of detail work on this Impala certainly shows, from the completely custom trunk space, to the color matched interior with it's custom paint & engraving, but the exterior is where this Impala stands out from the regular crowd with a shaved firewall, shaved door handles, continental kit airbrushed by Verrick Falcon, engraved headlight bezels and antenna bases by Krazy Kutting engraving. The paint alone took over 3 months of highly detailed layers & flake, using Toyota White paint with silver base, gold and tangerine patterns, pinstripe and variegated gold leafing by John Twitty at The Candy Shop Customs in Canyon Lake, Texas. The underside is just as nice as the top with chrome extended and molded upper and lower A-arms, chrome steering linkage, reinforced upper and lower trailing arms, a shortened rear end, CCE whammy tank, six switches, 8-inch front cylinders, 16-inch rear cylinders, eight Powervolt batteries, engraved hydraulic motor caps and covers, 14x7 white spoke Dayton Wire Wheels wrapped in Remington 175/75R14. Under the hood you will find a 350CID V-8 with upgrades consisting of a mild cam, Edelbrock carburetor, Durashine intake and stainless-steel headers and exhaust backed by a TH350 automatic transmission that sends this candy-colored cruiser down the road. The interior has been shown love in the form of custom bucket seats, a paint matched center console, dash pad and rear deck lid, engraved pillar trim, gauge housing, glovebox, radio trim, and rearview mirror. A Kenwood Bluetooth touch-screen radio with an Alpine 15-inch subwoofer, and two Alpine amplifiers help make the inside as loud as the outside. This '60 Impala has been featured in Lowrider Magazine because of its attention to detail, and now the seller is willing to take a financial beating on it to pursue other projects. The labor costs alone adds up to well over this, so if a truly unique piece of rolling art has ever been on your want list, you really need to take a 2nd look at what we have here.
