Once known for its robust drivetrain and role as the ultimate suburban kid-mobile, the Volvo 240 has come a long way in the enthusiast community! Thanks to the plug-and-play nature of the 240's cavernous engine bay has led to some seriously fast "Bricks." The Volvo 240 Turbo Wagon takes the great, nearly bombproof bones and classic style of the 200 Series Volvos and adds performance and exclusivity. Under the hood is the famed "Redblock" B230F 2.3 liter 4-cylinder engine that has been rebuilt mated to a M47 5-speed manual transmission with a new Sachs clutch. This motor has received some love in the form of 46mm turbo, 2.5" Simon's exhaust, aluminum Nissens radiator with electric fan, D088 intercooler, 36LBS injectors and a new wiring harness by Dave Barton. Staggered width JR6 17 wheels that wear 215/45 front and 245/40 rear Arroyo Grand Sport A/S radial tires fill the wheel wells nicely. The interior is a mix of newer grey cloth front seats with tan leather rear bench, door panels, dash and carpets match the mix of grey and tan. Interior equipment includes air conditioning, power windows and locks, a fold-down rear seat, and a newer AM/FM/Bluetooth radio. A four-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. An analog clock is found in the center stack along with an Innovate Motorsports air/fuel gauge. The six-digit odometer shows 215k Carfax reported miles. This is the time capsule wagon that has also been given the right upgrades to make sure you can enjoy the drive today.
