Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1959 Chevrolet Pickup with a 1957 front end conversion. The "Task Force" series Chevrolet pickup was produced from 1955-1959 and were billed as a larger, stronger, and sleeker design in comparison to the earlier AK Series. Matte black is a true hot rod favorite, and with bright red accents on the bed and wheels give this 60+ year-old classic a serious dose of attitude. Between the front fenders sits the legendary 350CID V-8 with backed by a smooth shifting 200R4 automatic transmission with upgrades such as an aluminum radiator with electric fan, Edelbrock carburetor and chrome air cleaner and valve covers. The bench seat is trimmed in multicolored cloth with black vinyl trim and is joined by black door panel trim, dash panel and rubber floor mats. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles, although true mileage is unknown. This truck is ready for work on the road or the ranch, or just for a nice ride on cruise night!
