So, it's no surprise that it's been featured in several movies, tv shows, and other cultural references. It continues to be one of the top selections for "dream car" surveys. The enduring appeal of this pony car comes down to its mechanical options, attractive appearance, and customizability and a great original price point didn't hurt either. This 1965 Coupe features a strong running 289 CID V8 that was bored .30 over, fitted with an Edelbrock Performance cam, Dart heads with roller rockers & some Hedman headers, that now runs the power down through a C4 transmission that has been fitted with a Gear Vendors overdrive and finally into the Ford 8" with 3.73 gears. Up front is a full Heidt's Mustang II front end conversion, rack & pinion steering and disc brakes. Also helping out underneath is the addition of the subframe connectors and a set of ladder bars, making sure that the American Racing wheels & the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's get plenty of bite on the blacktop! While this is most certainly not some overpainted trailer queen, this 1965 Mustang is ready for some summer fun just as she sits!
