Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to offer this one-off Ford Sprint Car for sale in our Scottsdale showroom. It's painted a striking shade of white with some colorful graphics. This car is all hand-built; it was lovingly constructed by a man who raced Sprint Cars his entire life, and this was the last one, but also his finest. A made-from-scratch aluminum body has all the correct dimensions that these cars used back in the 1960's, the heyday of their popularity. It's titled as a 1967 because the state of Arizona assigned it a VIN and a year had to be assigned as well. Thenowner felt that 1967 was the era he was aspiring to, thus the 1967 Ford Sprint Car designation. Built in the Don Edmunds style as a Super Modified, it's got the right look, from the original Halibrand knock off wheels to the quick change rear axle. Climb inside this immaculate race car (removing the steering wheel if needed), and the black vinyl "bomber" aluminum bucket seat fits the driver like a glove. For safety, there's a racing harness seat belt set-up. Twist the key and the very healthy 351W engine, running aluminum heads, headers, a race cam,and an intake with four two barrel carbs adds to the vintage appeal. A highly modified C4 automatic transmission gets the power to the rear. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind Ford Super Modified Sprint Car for sale right now at our Arizona location.
