For sale in our Scottsdale Arizona showroom is a 1970 Bradley GT-2. This was a specialty car built by the Bradley Company on a VW Beetle pan. They were only produced for a few years before production ended. With this car, you get the unique looks of what appears to be an exotic car on a reliable and bulletproof VW pan. The current owner has had seven of these cars, and each one is better than the last, due to his experience in restoring and modifying them. He has all the documentation including receipts for parts and labor for the build as well as over 500 photos depicting the process. Unless you really know what an original Bradley should look like, the modifications are seamless. Mods are subtle, like the doors opening, closing, and locking better than original. The air-cooled VW engine displaces 1835 cc's, all built by VW guru Bernie Bergman in California. All the ancillary equipment associated with the drivetrain has been replaced. All systems work flawlessly, ensuring the new owner a fun and dependable car that you won't soon see another one, unless you go to a Bradley convention. The car is painted an attractive shade of blue, which is a late model Mazda color, making any touch-ups easy. The headlights now operate on a solenoid system, so they move effortlessly. The fender-mounted mirrors came off a Pontiac Fiero and are power-actuated. There are two small, individual pop-up sunroofs above each occupant. Out back, mid-'70's Honda taillight assemblies look right at home. Inside, Pontiac Fiero bucket seats, a full instrument cluster with all working gauges, hood, back glass, and engine access panel are all solenoid-actuated. To make entry and exit easier, the steering wheel is removeable. This Bradley GT 2 has 4-wheel disc brakes and has recently been fitted with a new battery. Finally, the aftermarket heating and air conditioning system works perfectly. Don't miss this cool and unique Bradley GT-2. No one needs to know its a kit car either, let them think it is some car from the future.
