Production of this British off-roading classic began in 1983 with two models- the 90 and the 110, with the numbers referencing the approximate wheelbase length in inches. The Defender was only sold in the North American market from 1993 onwards therefore this Land Rover 90 was imported from Belgium to the United States in 2018 and has undergone a full restoration since. A glossy Red paintjob adorns this rugged 4X4 that sits nicely thanks to a 2" lift and some finishing touches like LED headlights and bumper lights, Land Rover Discovery black-painted wheels with mud flaps and new tinted glass all the way around. Pop open the hood latches and you'll find something you don't see every day: a lightly turbocharged 2.5l diesel 4-cylinder motor that has been rebuilt and has around 600 miles on it since. Teflon coated pistons and nimonic steel exhaust valves were used to help the “Turbo D" withstand high combustion temperatures. These small diesel motors were sold in Land Rover products worldwide and are renowned for their quiet, smooth and efficient operation. A 5-speed manual transmission will help you find the right gear whatever terrain you are traversing. The interior of this '87 Land Rover has been reupholstered in black leather and includes original style dashboard gauges.
