This 1966 Volkswagen has been lowered and shortened at the front axle with Porsche Fuchs 15" wheels added for a “Cal-Style" look. To bring this vintage VW forward in time, disc brakes were added up front, along with a 12 volt electrical conversion and a CD/Bluetooth head unit was professionally installed in the glovebox with additional speakers added throughout the vehicle. Speaking of the interior, which features tan cloth, you'll find that it's mostly classic VW with restored factory gauges and the original AM radio was left for appearance. A mounted tachometer will help the driver monitor engine performance. The motor itself is a 1776 air cooled 4-cylinder with dual carburetors. To say a lot of work has been done would be an understatement- just start by marveling at the polished chrome everywhere in the engine compartment! The owner has sunk thousands of dollars into maintenance and rebuilding the motor, with documented receipts available in the event of a purchase. A 4-speed manual is the best way to enjoy any classic Volkswagen but this 1966 Beetle has a “Freeway Flyer" transmission that gets the most out of your VW by keeping rpm's down at cruising speeds.
