The “Bullet Bird" is a handsome car on its own but this special, one of 2000 built Monaco Edition takes it a step further. The Limited Edition Landau, as this car is also known, was first presented to Prince Rainier of Monaco at the Monte Carlo Rally in January 1963 and the remainder were produced by Ford Motor Company in the USA until the end of the '63 model year. This vehicle is claimed to be car number 462 and has been partially restored to its current condition. Presented in a sharp Corinthian White (using PPG two-stage paint/clearcoat) combined with a lavish Dark Rose Beige Landau vinyl roof and period-correct whitewall tires, this T-Bird is as charming as a bouquet on wheels. All Monaco Edition T-Birds came with Ford's “Z Code" 390 CID V8 engine that pushed 300hp from the factory but in this car has been overhauled with new components including an upgraded intake manifold, carburetor, valve covers, electric fuel pump and HEI ignition. A 4-core radiator with electric fan will also help keep your engine running optimally whether you're participating in a parade downtown or cruising home on the highway with the modernized Air Conditioning on full blast. Power steering and power brakes were standard features on Thunderbirds from this era and contributed significantly to the effortless driving experience. A 3-speed automatic transmission shifts this T-Bird through the gears smoothly and was also recently rebuilt according to the seller's documents. Inside this Monaco Edition T-Bird it's very clear that it was built to impress.
