Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is happy to feature this sleeper 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham marketed for sale on consignment with our showroom in Phoenix, Arizona. The New Yorker was a luxury nameplate and the best of everything Chrysler had to offer as far as style, comfort and drivability goes. 1974 ushered in a new appearance for the New Yorker and were the last full-size vehicles that Chrysler designed from the ground up. This Chrysler looks imposing from the outside and is painted in White with a matching White landau roof. Fender skirts provide some flair and there's the usual chrome that you'd expect on a big American car of this grandeur. There are some surprises in this land yacht that we'll get to in a second but the Centerline aluminum wheels with BF Goodrich radial tires give some indication. Open up the engine compartment and you'll see what we were talking about- this unassuming mid-70's Chrysler has been beefed up with a 440 CID V8 engine that was recently rebuilt and features numerous upgrades including a 4bbl carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, MSD electronic ignition, Hedman exhaust headers and much more. Clearly a vast amount of money has been spent to bring this New Yorker up-to-snuff mechanically. Gear selection is handled by a 3-speed automatic transmission with the shifter located on the steering column. Inside, it's a very mid-70's appearance which is a pretty cool place to enjoy all that power from the 440 motor in. Cream colored vinyl bench seating should sit just about anyone comfortably and regal looking Brougham badging is embossed on the seat-backs. Check out some of the optional extras in this Chrysler too- power windows, an AM/FM stereo, and full gauge set to start. The air conditioning system is not blowing cold right now and the system installed appears to be an old unit. Finally, you can't ignore the cavernous trunk space in this New Yorker. Some would even say it's big enough to be rented out as a studio apartment in Manhattan! Give our helpful and enthusiastic Sales staff a call at (623) 900-4884 and we will put our eyes and ears on this 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham for you. Alternatively, email for more information.
