For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 with the RS package. In 1970 the Camaro Z/28 received a larger engine. Now 350 cubic inches up from the previous year's 302 cubic inches. The car itself was also larger in both length and width. The Camaro had a tough act to follow after the success of the first generation. No longer available was a convertible and remained unavailable until 1987. The 1973 year came with a few changes, no more big block making the Z/28's engine the top engine producing 245 horsepower. This '73 is cranking out a bit more with headers and a Demon carb. The RS package gave the car chrome bumperettes that everyone knows as the split bumper. This is a restored numbers matching car that looks and runs great. Powering this beast is the correct 350 small block with 500 miles since a rebuild backed up by a Muncie 4 speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter and a 10 bolt rear end with 4.10 gears. This Z/28 has been upgraded with 4 wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors and red calipers surrounded by chrome Foose wheels. Enhancing the already menacing look is a lowered stance by utilizing a set of lower stiffer springs. Covered in a beautiful coat of Black paint that shows off its straight body and factory cowl induction steel hood with a matching black vinyl interior. This '73 Camaro Z/28 RS is ready to tear up the asphalt. You can view this classic in greater detail, including HD video, at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please call 618-271-3000 with any questions.
