This gorgeous Eldorado is painted in a color combination of Mandan Red over a red and white leather interior with a white power top. 1956 was the third year for the Eldorado and only accounted for 4% of all Cadillacs sold. '56 was also the last year of the second generation Eldorado and was accompanied by the Eldorado Seville which was a 2 door hardtop version of the big convertible, also reason to give the Eldorado the name "Biarritz." Speaking of a big convertible, this puppy weighs in at over 5,000 lbs, thanks to good old American steel! Powering this Eldorado is the original drivetrain consisting of a smooth running 365 cubic inch V8 with two 4 bbl carbs hiding beneath the batwing air cleaner making 305 horsepower and 400 lbs/ft of torque. Backing up this power plant is a Hydra-Matic 4 speed automatic transmission. While we are talking about power, how about power brakes, power steering, power windows and 6 way power seats! Some other cool equipment includes an Autronic Eye. This little guys sits on the dash near the "A" pillar of the driver's side and will auto dim your headlights when another vehicle is approaching.
