For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a very sharp 1952 Ford F2 pickup truck. The F-Series Ford pickup trucks is one of the most successful model line ups of all time. The model lineup began in 1948 and is still successful today. This '52 F2 model is a 3/4 ton and is equivalent to the modern day F-250. This would have been the workhorse of its day and in the case of this truck, it was a farm truck. This particular F2 has been in the same family since 1956! It was driven around the family farm and in very recent years was stored away as a family keepsake. It was repainted and the interior was reupholstered in the mid 80's but other than that it is true to what you would've found in '52. The oak bed has been restored and really looks great. Powering this Ford is a 215 CID OHV Inline 6. Driven through a 4 speed on the floor, she isn't built for speed, but the Straight Six has plenty of torque. The truck is finished in a great forest green that would look at home on the farm. The 8 lug wheels and heavy duty suspension hint that in its prime this truck meant business. Now it's ready for a nice easy retirement and would be at home at car shows, parades, and weekend cruises. You can view this car in greater detail, including HD video, at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
