Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a 1962 Chevrolet Impala hard top. The 1960s offered a number of attractive full size automobiles, and possibly the most desirable of all is the long and low two door Impala. This particular '62 model is finished in a beautiful coat of Victory Red which was professionally done 3 years ago. The body is nice and straight and really shows off the lines on this car. Under the hood is a new Edelbrock 327 CID V8 with a new Holley 600 CFM carburetor sitting on top. Backing the 327 is the original PowerGlide automatic transmission which has been recently rebuilt. The list of new parts on the car is a long one, and includes and excellent upgrade: power front disc brakes. The suspension can often be forgotten in a restoration, but not this time, the car has new: front and rear stabilizer bars, springs in the front, shocks in all corners, and even rebuilt power steering. This is a car you can hop in an confidently drive across the country. The car looks great and drives great, so of course it needs an interior to match. The interior has been insulated with Dynomat for sound deadening and to eliminate and squeaks or creaks. The upholstery has been beautifully done with original style red vinyl/cloth. The dash is in wonderful condition as are the doors panels, steering wheel, and carpet. This is a car you can be proud to show, drive, and enjoy. Impalas are becoming tougher to find in this condition. This is a beautiful '62 that needs nothing but a new owner.
