1980 Blakely Bearcat

Our St. Louis Showroom is proud to introduce this 1980 Blakely Bearcat to our inventory of fine cars. This vehicle was manufactured by Blakely Auto Works and primarily sold throughout the midwest region of the United States. The company was founded by Dick Blakely who had a history of track racing prior to creating these lovely little roadsters. The Bearcat was the first model he developed that was designed for street use and included all necessary equipment for everyday driving comfort including a fuel efficient engine, rack and pinion steering and front wheel disc brakes. This vehicle is equipped with a newly rebuilt Ford 2.3 Liter 4 cylinder engine that produces 140 horsepower.

This vehicle has had a lot of work done recently including rebuilt brakes, engine overhaul, new headlight buckets, new heater core, new Michelin Radials, new carpeting and headliner, and door panels redone. This car is incredibly fun to drive with the top off but also includes the original fiberglass hardtop making this car ready for any climate. The engine starts easy and this car drives well down the road. The mechanicals on this car are easy to maintain making ownership a breeze. The Blakely Bearcat was a featured character in the novel "The Car" and this beauty is ready to start telling its own story. The undercarriage of this vehicle is very clean and the vehicle has been very well maintained over the years. The paint is in nice shape and the car does include a paint matched hard top. The Bearcat sits on chrome wire wheels with good radial tires in all four corners. Inside you'll find everything you need: room for two, full instrumentation and a nice stereo.
