Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a very nice 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Chevrolet introduced the Monte Carlo in 1970 as a full sized personal luxury car. The model ran until 2007 and went through several significant changes over the years. The first generation is by far the most muscular generation. First gen Montes could be had with everything from a 350 V8 with a two barrel up to a 454 V8 with 365 HP. This particular '71 sports a 383 CID V8 Stroker. The engine and automatic transmission have been rebuilt, and it runs strong. The car features a 4.11 final drive ratio with Posi-Traction rear end. The car has been repainted in a very sharp Maroon color that goes well with the newer black vinyl top. The interior has new black upholstery which provides a sporty look. The front bucket seats have nice foam and are nice and comfortable. The center console houses an aftermarket B&M shifter. The dash features aftermarket AutoMeter gauges which are a nice upgrade over the factory "Dummy Lights." The column has been updated with a chrome tilt column and aftermarket 3 spoke steering wheel. The Monte is equipped with AM/FM/Cassette, power steering, power brakes, tilt column, seat belts, vinyl interior, rally wheels, and radial tires. Located in our St. Louis Showroom, this 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo can be seen including HD pictures and videos at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
