This '68 Camaro convertible is painted in a beautiful Carousel Red with a black soft top and matching black vinyl interior. Powering this convertible is a 396 Big Block Chevy. It's hard to go wrong with a big block and a convertible! Th3 396 is backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive and a 12 bolt rear-end with 3.33 rear gears allowing you to cruise at highway speed. Recently the car has received new rear springs and a full Hotchkis front suspension that truly transforms the ride of this classic muscle car. Options for this '68 396 include power convertible top, power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, staple shifter, tilt steering, a trunk spoiler and rear bumper bumperettes. The 396 is from a 1968 Impala SS and features a pertronix electronic distributor, long tube headers, rebuilt Rochester 4 barrel carburetor, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, aluminum intake manifold, a high performance starter and an aluminum radiator with a new fan clutch and a custom made aluminum radiator fan shroud to keep things cool. Giving that big block that oh so wonderful sound is a set of Flowmaster mufflers. The '68 Camaro is riding on a staggered set of American Racing wheels that are 20" in the rear and 18" up front with new tires all around. Keeping this big block glued to the road is a Hotchkis tunes front suspension that consist of tuned Fox shocks, upper and lower tubular control arms, sway bar, 600 lbs coil springs and new outer tie rods. The rear has also been tended to with new rear leaf springs. Slowing things down is done with a new brake booster, new master cylinder and new rear brake cylinders. The interior certainly wasn't forgotten. It has new carpet, door panels, steering wheel, SS floor mats, gauge kit, and a turn signal switch. Other new parts include soft top, door rubber, chrome bumpers, windshield, convertible boot and new horns. As you can see this Camaro is ready to hit the open road.
