Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer a fun little 1978 MGB Roadster. MG was a company based in the United Kingdom which was known for their open top sports cars. Undoubtedly their most popular US model was the MGB. The car features a front engine rear drive layout that had just enough room for two seats and a rag top in between. The car has a smooth little 1.8 Liter inline four cylinder engine which produces around 95 horsepower. Twin SU carburetors deliver the fuel to the four cylinder. Of course a proper British sports car utilizes a 4 speed manual transmission which shifts precisely. This '78 model is finished in a classic Tomato Red which was applied recently. The finish has a high gloss and really looks great on this B. The wheels were also recently repainted and are wrapped in new rubber in all four corners. The convertible top was also recently replaced so you should stay dry if you get caught in a downpour. The interior is in great shape and features a new dash cover, new cherry steering wheel, and coco mats. This car has been upgraded with a modern stereo with AM/FM/CD with blue tooth so you can play your favorite tunes while you cruise. These MGs can be excellent Sunday cruisers or exciting back road carvers. If you like feeling the wind in your hair, but don't want to break the bank on a brand new convertible, pick up a little MGB and enjoy the weather on a budget. This particular example has only 112,170 original miles and runs and drives great.
