Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer one gorgeous 1937 Ford Club Coupe. This '37 has been street rodded into an absolutely beautiful piece of art on wheels. The build started with a mostly rust free body. There were two small repairs done in front of each rear fender. The repairs were done right with replacement panels. The body was taken off the frame and completely restored with new paint top to bottom. The car is finished in a very sharp charcoal gray over silver two tone. It sits on a sharp set of Billet Specialties 5 spoke wheels wrapped in staggered rubber. The chrome is in wonderful condition and really pops in the sun. One custom touch is the gas filler door. A '37 Ford should have a raised gas filler neck, but this one has been sunk flush beneath the fender and hidden with a custom door. The body sits on a Heinzman Chassis, and is all steel. Underneath you'll find power rack and pinion steering and a power brake booster tucked underneath for the front disc brakes. Under the hood you'll find a fuel injected Chevrolet LT1 350 CID V8 engine. The engine breathes through a nice set of headers and dual exhaust. The power is easy felt as this '37 will jump off the line a heck of a lot better than it would've with its original flat head. Backing the LT1 is a 700R4 4 speed automatic transmission which runs to a Ford 9" rear end with 3.50 gear ratio. The interior of this car is professionally done and turned out beautifully. They did something a little unique with this interior in leaving out the back seat to provide for tons of interior storage space. It's really set up to load up some baggage and take off for a weekend away from home. If you're a golfer, there's plenty of room for 2 golf bags. The interior features high quality gray upholstery and carpeting. It features custom door panels and interior panels. They feature hidden speakers fully functional door handles and window cranks. The headliner is a thing of beauty and houses a stereo head unit and dome light. Between the seats is a console with cup holders which gives you some storage space for those long drives. The dash is a custom fitted 1940 Ford dash which has a very attractive appearance. The modern gauges have been fitted well and offer full instrumentation. The fresh air inlet vent located just under the windshield was a great way to ventilate the cabin before air conditioning. This one happens to have a power actuated vent that opens and closes with the touch of a switch. Of course for the really hot days, the car has Vintage Air air conditioning. The controls are hidden away in the glove box to keep the stock appearing dash. A loaded street rod like this is just what you need to cruise in comfort and style.
