Take one look at the chrome and other shiny pieces and you will know not one piece was passed over. Finished in triple black, with loads of chrome all over, this Galaxie has traveled only 83 miles since its completed restoration. Drop the top and the brand new interior makes its presence felt with authority, with a little help from Jack Roush's signature on the glove box. Behind the new American Racing wheels are brand new disc brakes up front and drum brakes in the rear. These new brakes will help control the power of what is hidden under the hood. Open that hood, chrome and polished metal immediately take your attention, then you see the Roush air cleaner and valve covers, your first hint of something special. It started as a 390 CID, but after Roush was done it became a 402 CID Ford Iron Block FE engine. Ford cast crankshaft regrounded -.020" / -.020 and nitrided, bored 4.115" and stroked 3.780", internally balanced, diamond forged pistons (10.19 to 1 compression ratio), Eagle 6.490" H-Beam connecting rods, Trend pushrods, comp cams hydraulic roller camshaft and lifters (Thumpr Series), Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads #60069, Harland Sharpe shaft mounted rocker assembly, Canton oil pan, Melling oil pump, Billet Specialties Tru-Trac Fead System, MSD Distributor, and a Holley 770 CFM vacuum secondary carburetor. This beautiful and powerful (404 horsepower and 427 ft-lbs of torque) engine is mated with Sanderson Headers and an all new exhaust, which makes for a truly awesome sound of aggression.
