From 1938 to 2003 Volkswagen produced more than 21.5 million Beetles. In 1971 the Super Beetle was introduced, featuring a McPherson strut front suspension and a redesigned front end, resulting in a tighter turning radius, despite having a 20mm longer wheelbase, and doubling the front cargo volume. In 1973 a curved windscreen was introduce allowing for a redesigned padded dashboard. Also new was the two-speed heater fan, larger tail lights, and higher rear mudguards. Recent upgrades and work on this 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle include a new Sew Fine cloth interior, a radio head unit with USB/MP3 connection, a freshly rebuilt 1776 cc 4 cylinder engine with an MP34 dual carburetor, new clutch and clutch cable, new brakes, and the tires have less than 1,000 miles on them.
