Pickup trucks of this vintage are becoming extremely desirable, especially when in this kind of condition. This truck has undergone an extensive two year frame off restoration. The truck has been restored with originality in mind. The original engine, transmission, and rear end are still present, and the truck only has 57,286 original miles. Under the hood is a 307 CID Turbo Fire V8 which has been rebuilt about 2,000 miles ago and runs great. The V8 is backed by a 3 speed manual Saginaw transmission which is shifted on the column. The 12 bolt rear end now contains a 3:07 final drive ratio which makes it a great highway cruiser. With power steering and power assisted brakes, this truck really is a comfortable driver. It sports a glossy coat of white on top of gray two tone paint. All the original colors have been kept both inside and out. Inside is genuine GM upholstery material in the original blue color. Inside you have what you'd expect in a classic truck: a nice comfy bench seat, a large rimmed steering wheel, and 3 speed shifter on the tree. If you've never driven 3 on the tree, it really is a lot of fun, especially in an old truck! Perhaps the sharpest feature is the beautifully redone red oak bed. They sure don't make trucks with beds like this anymore. They just don't make vehicles like this anymore. This is a little slice of American history that you can use every day. This would be a good one for shows, Sunday cruises, or a really stylish way to get to work each day.
