1974 Dodge Challenger

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautiful 1974 Dodge Challenger. This is a car is sporting a healthy NOM 440 CID V8 which has been bored 0.030. The engine features Keith Black pistons which give it 10.5 to 1 compression. It has a Comp Cams camshaft with 524 lift and 312 duration, crane roller rockers, Crane pushrods, Edelbrock heads, and a double roller timing chain and gears. Other goodies include: an Edelbrock Torker intake manifold which houses a Demon 850 CFM carburetor. The new parts list goes on and on for this car: Mopar performance valve covers, Mopar performance water pump and housing, new radiator, and Mallory distributor. The beast breathes through Doug Thorley headers and custom 3" exhaust with cross pipe. The suspension and brakes have not been neglected one bit. This one sits on Mopar performance SuperStock rear springs, and a completely rebuilt front end with polyurethane bushings. A lot of the suspension and the K frame have been powder coated black. The brakes a from Wilwood and are disc in all four corners with adjustable brake bias. The transmission is a 3 speed automatic from Leverit Racing. A Hurst shifter on the floor selects the gears, and the rear has a 3:55 final drive ratio. This car has a recent professional paint job which is gloss red and is slick and smooth. The body is nice and straight and would make any Mopar enthusiast proud. This one has a new black vinyl top which matches the black vinyl interior. A nice touch on this one is the set of staggered Cragar wheels wrapped in raised white letter tires. This car is a real street machine which could easily pull into your local car cruise in and gather a whole lot of attention. It's nicely equipped with CD stereo, power steering, seat belts, vinyl interior, alloy wheels, and radial tires.
