1969 Dodge Dart

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautiful 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger 340. There's something pure and beautiful about the age old combination of a small car with a high horsepower engine. In this case Dodge used their base car; the Dart as the platform for their Swinger 340. The Swingers got the 340 CID V8 which put out 275 HP with a single 4 barrel carburetor. This particular example remains stock in appearance with the vinyl top and "Dog Dish" hub cap wheels. The engine however has a bit more power. It is a fresh NOM 340 Stroker which now displaces 408 cubic inches. It still sports a single 4 barrel and remains stock appearing under the hood down to the air cleaner decals. The Stroker is backed by a rebuilt 727 TorqueFlight automatic transmission. It has a sure grip rear end with 3:91 final drive ratio. The body has been completely and professionally restored to be straight and solid. New quarters were required and were replaced with Auto Metal Direct panels which have been properly installed. The paint is a stunning shade of Hemi Orange by PPG with PPG clear coat which has been beautifully laid. The black vinyl top is new which matches the all new black vinyl interior. Seats, headliner, carpet, and door panels are all new and look wonderful in this little Dart. The trunk is properly finished and the underside is undercoated. This is easily a show ready car which could place well. The drive train is fresh and begging to be driven.
