A professionally rebuilt C6 automatic transmission with a 3000 stall converter has been employed to transfer the power to the professionally rebuilt 9" Ford rear end. Options for this 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500 XL include: AM Radio (not functioning), Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, White Wall Radial Tires, and American Racing Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. Recent upgrades include a new fuel tank, new drive shaft, re-chromed rear bumper, and a new front bumper. The blue vinyl interior has been recently replaced and back to a stock appearance. The underbody looks as it did from the factory, coated in DP40 Primer, and looks fantastic. The dual Flowmaster exhaust provide a perfect growl to the professionally built V8, which also features Cobra valve covers, an MSD ignition, and a Holley carburetor. The power steering works like a charm, and makes driving this Galaxie 500 XL a cinch in tight spaces like car shows and mall parking lots. This Galaxie 500 XL has a fresh layer of PPG concept single stage paint, which provides a classic early 60's look to this 400+ horsepower grocery getter. The new 15X7 American Racing wheels are wrapped in 205/70/15 radial tires which provide a great stance, and accent to the overall build perfectly.
